Halloween

We are proud of our pupils who have learned that Halloween is not only a fun and spooky festival of crazy costume parties, horror movies and trick or treating. It has its own interesting history which goes back to an ancient Celtic festival celebrating the end of harvest season. The Celts also believed that the spirits of the death come back to the Earth. To keep the evil spirits away, they wore costumes and lit bonfires.
